]]>And yes, it’s harder than it sounds. But when you get it right? It works like a charm.
B2B content marketing strategy is a structured plan that guides how you use content to attract, engage and convert business buyers. We’re talking blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, case studies – the works and let’s not forget email marketing (a personal favourite). But here’s the key difference from B2C: the focus is less on impulse and more on insight.
Your buyers are researching, comparing and making decisions across a long sales cycle. So your content needs to do more than just look pretty. It needs to educate, answer questions, show off your expertise and build trust over time.
Think of it like dating – no one’s proposing on the first date (and if they are…ahem red flag) Your content should guide people along the journey, helping them get to know, like and eventually choose you.
We all know that content is king. But without a strategy, content marketing quickly becomes guesswork. One week you’re talking about industry trends, the next you’re sharing a salesy promo post. A solid B2B content marketing strategy keeps everything connected. It maps your content to each stage of the buyer journey, aligns with your business goals and ensures your voice stays consistent and confident.
It also helps you prioritise the good stuff. Content that solves problems, showcases results and positions you as the obvious choice.
To really build a B2B content marketing strategy that delivers, you need to think beyond just “what do we post?” and look at the full picture. That’s where the 7Ps of B2B marketing come in: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process and Physical Evidence. The purpose of this is a framework that keeps your marketing efforts balanced and focused.
The 7Ps are practical content angles that help you cover all the things your audience cares about before making a decision.
es, you absolutely need to create content with SEO in mind. Keywords, structure, meta descriptions – they all matter. But here’s the truth no one on a webinar slide seems to say out loud: Google is smart, and AI is even smarter. It’s not enough to tick technical SEO boxes anymore.
You’ve got to bring something real to the table.
Google now prioritises content that’s useful, human and actually enjoyable to read. And let’s be honest, so do your clients. They’re not clicking through to read another lifeless paragraph stuffed with search terms. They want to hear your voice. They want clarity, insight and maybe even a bit of personality (imagine!).
This is where authenticity comes in. Your content should sound like a person wrote it. A sharp, well-informed, real person who gives a damn. Bring your brand voice. Speak directly. Say what you mean. Would it kill businesses to add a little heart. That’s what makes content memorable, trustworthy and shareable.
People like people. And it turns out, Google likes content that sounds like people too. Make of that what you will.
Spoiler alert: views and likes are not the be-all and end-all. A smart B2B content marketing strategy tracks what “moves the needle”. Writing that made me cringe a little…but we move. Ok, so think:
Data is your friend, but only if you’re looking at the right bits.
If you’re winging it with your content or just tired of watching your LinkedIn posts sink without a trace, it’s time to get strategic. Book a free digital audit or a 15-minute consultation and let’s turn your content into something that works as hard as you do.

]]>The reality is if you’re a business owner, marketer or even just vaguely responsible for your company’s online presence, understanding AI SEO isn’t optional and sooner than I care to think things are going to change – fast.
But what does AI SEO mean for you and how do you actually use it without losing your mind or your brand voice?
AI SEO (artificial intelligence search engine optimisation) is all about using smart tools and tech to make your SEO work harder and faster. Think keyword research, content creation, competitor analysis and even spotting trends before they take off.
It’s not about cutting corners or letting a robot run your strategy. It’s about using AI to do the heavy lifting so you can focus on the big-picture thinking, the stuff that actually makes an impact. In short: less guesswork, more smart work.
Consider this:
SEO with AI is like having a team of specialists that can surface patterns and opportunities that human brains just wouldn’t spot on their own. And that’s where the real power is. However – big however. With great power comes great responsibility (solid words from Spiderman). If your marketing team does not have the foundation knowledge or expertise to leverage AI, or know what good looks like – then using AI in your marketing could very quickly become an out of control and costly mess.
AI is transforming SEO by shifting the focus from guesswork to data-led decisions. It’s making content more aligned with real search intent, streamlining repetitive tasks and giving marketers better tools to stay ahead of search engine updates.
The shift AI has brought to SEO is like Netflix turning up at Blockbuster’s front door. Everything you thought was working? Obsolete overnight. Or like when Woolworths closed and we all had to pretend we knew where else to buy Pick ’n’ Mix. It’s unsettling, a bit tragic, but also full of new possibilities if you’re paying attention.
OK maybe a little dramatic, but the truth is, AI hasn’t just changed the game. It’s changed the whole stadium.
No more sifting through endless spreadsheets or guessing what people might be typing into Google. AI tools can find patterns, group keywords by intent and flag up gaps you wouldn’t have spotted on your own. It’s faster and smarter and saves a lot of caffeine.
We’ve all been there, staring at a blinking cursor thinking “how many ways can I write about this service again?” AI gives you a head start. It can help draft blogs, product pages, whatever, so you’re not starting from zero every time. You still need to tweak and humanise it, but it makes the whole thing less painful.
Want to know what’s working, what needs fixing or how your competitors are smashing it? AI can pull those insights together in minutes. Given, you still need someone who knows what to do with that info, but it saves a tonne of time getting to the good stuff.
AI tools are great at catching rising search terms or content themes before they explode. It means you can get ahead rather than playing catch-up and look like a genius while you’re at it.
Google’s using AI to understand search intent and rank content, so it’s not just about keywords anymore. If you’re not factoring that into your SEO, you’re probably shouting into the void. AI tools help you stay aligned with how search actually works today.
But here’s the key bit, and I really cannot stress this enough: tools are just tools. They’re brilliant, but they’re not magic and they come with a price-tag. You still need someone who knows what they’re doing to make it all work properly. That’s where experience, strategy and a bit of instinct still matter.
So, whilst it’s incredibly exciting about what is possible, like any technological revolution – change takes time and implementation will likely be gradual for most organisations.
Right, so you’re sold on the idea. But how do you actually use AI in SEO in a way that adds value and doesn’t just tick a shiny new box?
1. Use AI to enhance, not replace
AI is your co-pilot, not your replacement. Use it for ideation, scale and analysis but keep the human touch for strategy, tone and making the final call.
2. Train your tools with your voice
Got a brand tone that makes you stand out? Good. Feed that into your AI workflows so you don’t end up sounding like every other ChatGPT user out there.
3. Build AI into your process, not as an afterthought
AI SEO works best when it’s baked in from the start. That means integrating it into your content planning, technical audits and even reporting dashboards.
4. Keep it ethical and high quality
Google’s EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness) still matters. Don’t just churn content. Make it meaningful, accurate and human-checked.
5. Stay up to date (or hire someone who does)
AI is moving fast. Tools that were cutting edge six months ago might already be old news. Make time to stay informed or work with someone who makes it their job to stay on top of all this.
If you just want your marketing strategy to work to get your organisation in front of the right people when they’re looking for your services or related queries.
